Firetruck Bursts Into Flames at Crash Site
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A San Diego firetruck at the scene of a predawn traffic accident Monday burst into flames when its engine caught fire -- the second such incident in 24 hours.
Firefighters were at the scene of an overturned car on California 52 in the Santee area east of San Diego when they saw that their engine was burning. Two other fire crews were dispatched to help put out the fire, including one whose truck engine had burst into flames Sunday.
