ProSieben Will Not Be Put Up for Sale Again

The U.S. holding company that controls German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Media said it didn’t plan to shop the company around again after regulators blocked a merger with rival Axel Springer.
There had been speculation that the consortium, P7S1 Holding, led by Hollywood billionaire Haim Saban, would seek another buyer for ProSieben, Germany’s leading commercial TV broadcaster based on ad revenue.
German antitrust regulators last month blocked a 3.5- billion euro ($4.2-billion) deal that would have sold the Munich-based broadcaster to Axel Springer, publisher of Germany’s top circulation Bild daily.
