Who’s the isolationist?

Re “What isolationism?” Opinion, Feb. 2
I too was perplexed by President Bush’s repeated references to “isolationists” in his State of the Union speech. Bush was really talking about himself.
It’s his administration that prides itself on its ability to isolate and “stay the course” in the face of contrary evidence.
Bush is the one who isolated himself from protesters at his Crawford ranch in Texas.
He’s the one whose myopic vision of how to defeat the terrorists has led us down the solitary path to quagmire in Iraq.
It is his policy to turn our faces away from the coffins coming home.
Isolationist? Cindy Sheehan should have brought a mirror.
