Filmmaker Charged With Solicitation

Movie director Lee Tamahori has been charged with solicitation after allegedly dressing as a woman and offering sex to an undercover Los Angeles police officer in exchange for money, a city attorney’s spokesman said Thursday.
Tamahori, who directed “Die Another Day,” and “Mulholland Falls,” was arrested Jan. 8 on Santa Monica Boulevard, the spokesman said. He faces two misdemeanor counts.
