It’s not all about the shopping
COUNT me among the many who disagree with the premise of your “Savvy Shopper” special section [“It’s Our Favorite Outlet,” Dec. 17].
As travelers, we are not “unabashedly acquisitive,” but rather we are respectfully inquisitive. Travelers study the culture, language and history of their destination before departure, then journey to that place with the intention of experience and meaningful exchanges with the locals, not to shop.
That’s lame.
