Monday is New Year’s Day. The following schedule will be in effect:
Government: All city, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.
* Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.
* Libraries: Closed.
* Banks: Most will be closed.
* Schools: Public campuses will be closed.
* Trash collection: None.
* Public transportation:
MTA buses will run on a Sunday schedule today and New Year’s Day. There will be no Metrolink service Monday; today, only the San Bernardino, Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines will run.
All four Metro Rail lines (Gold, Red, Blue and Green) will start 24-hour service today to get people to the Rose Bowl and parade. Shuttles will take Metro riders to the float displays and the game. All Metro buses and trains between 9 tonight and 2 a.m. Monday will be free. For schedules, visit metro.net.
