Jessica Morrow scored a career-high 24 points to lead the ninth-ranked Baylor Bears to an 83-70 victory over UCLA on Sunday at Pauley Pavilion.
The game was the fifth in the last six that Morrow has scored in double figures. Before that stretch, the sophomore had been averaging 6.0 points.
Bernice Mosby scored 20 points and Angela Tisdale had 14 points for the Bears (11-1), who won their eighth consecutive game.
Noelle Quinn scored 19 points and Lindsey Pluimer had 18 points for the Bruins (6-6), who lost their third game to a top 10 team this season.
“We were caught off guard by how aggressive and athletic they were,” Bruins Coach Kathy Olivier said. “The first five minutes were kind of a wake-up call.”
