This year is 6th-warmest on record

This year is set to go down as the world’s sixth-warmest since records began 150 years ago, the World Meteorological Organization says.
The 10 warmest years have all occurred in the last 12 years, the U.N. agency said Thursday.
A preliminary report on data through November found that world temperatures were an average of 0.76 degrees above the annual average from 1961-90.
