Money market assets hit record $2.333 trillion

U.S. money market mutual fund assets rose to a record $2.333 trillion as yields near five-year highs attract investors, according to the Money Fund Report.
Total assets increased $21.3 billion in the seven days that ended Tuesday, the Westborough, Mass.-based newsletter said Wednesday. The previous high was $2.326 trillion, set in December 2002.
