Talk about a full dance card

Fox got good ratings with its summer dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance,” and the viewer enthusiasm didn’t end with last week’s finale. The 10 finalists are going on tour, and all 37 dates, which went on sale last Saturday, sold out in just a few hours.
“A number of cities were sold out in 11 minutes,” said Allen Shapiro, one of the show’s executive producers. “We clearly had confidence in the tour, but the intense emotional core that the show struck went beyond our expectations.”
The tour, which launches Sept. 12 in Seattle and ends Oct. 29 in Providence, R.I., makes a local stop Sept. 16 at the Gibson Amphitheatre.
