Police have asked for the public’s help in finding a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a 6-year-old boy.
Luis Gutierrez was struck after he darted out behind an ice cream truck Saturday about 8 p.m., said Sgt. Rick Martinez, a police spokesman.
The driver of a 1995 white Chevrolet Blazer, license 3NCX236, stopped briefly, then drove away, Martinez said. The boy died later at a hospital.
Police are seeking the driver, who faces a felony hit-and-run charge, Martinez said.
