A third person died as a result of a four-vehicle crash Saturday night in unincorporated territory east of Montebello, the Los Angeles County coroner said Sunday.
The California Highway Patrol said a 1990 Cadillac heading north on Rosemead Boulevard struck a southbound car near San Gabriel Boulevard. Three southbound vehicles, a 1998 Honda Accord, a 1999 Nissan Maxima and a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup, were involved.
The man driving the Cadillac, whose name has yet to be released, died at the scene, as did Angela Yip, a 60-year-old passenger in the Nissan, coroner’s Lt. Fred Corrall said.
A male passenger in the Cadillac died about two hours later at a hospital. The drivers of the Nissan and Honda suffered major injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
