Condesa beats a resort any day
THANK you many times over for the excellent article [“Eclectico in the City,” July 20] on the Condesa neighborhood in Mexico City.
This much-maligned world capital city happens to be a favorite destination of mine. Friends tried to discourage me from visiting the great city in 1987. They couldn’t understand why I would prefer to go there rather than to a resort in Mexico.
I’m sure I do not have to preach to your choir on this point. As a member of the Los Angeles Conservancy, I am thrilled to read about efforts to save classic architecture.
Again, thank you for your article that made me feel like I was there on a tree-lined street at 7,400 feet above sea level.
