Re “Despite Outages, City Hall Power Plays Continue,” Q&A;, July 31
The Times’ implication that Councilwoman Wendy Greuel was distracted from her duties is far-reaching and incorrect.
My street had a power outage July 22, a Saturday. Unable to reach anyone, I left a message for Greuel. She called me back from her cellphone, called the L.A. Department of Water and Power, and called back to report on her progress. We had power the same day.
The Times should be praising her efforts, not making hay where none exists.
