Teledyne to Buy Stake in Ocean Systems Firm

Defense contractor Teledyne Technologies Inc. of West Los Angeles said it had agreed to buy a majority stake in privately held Ocean Design Inc. for about $30 million.
Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Ocean Design makes sub-sea electrical and fiber-optic systems used in offshore oil and gas production, in oceanographic research and by the military.
