A conservative bent
In your review of “Here’s Where I Stand” by Jesse Helms (Book Review, Sept. 4), the identification of reviewer Matthew Continetti sounds bland and innocent enough: “a staff writer at the Weekly Standard.” You omit the fact that the Standard is a fiercely right-wing publication. Result: You have hired a conservative writer for a conservative magazine to review the autobiography of a viciously right-wing senator. No wonder Continetti likes the book so much. You need to be more honest about the biases of your reviewers.
