BASEBALL

* Danny Salcedo, Huntington Park: Had two hits and scored twice, the second time with two out in the ninth inning on Rudy Nuno’s infield hit, in a 5-4 nonleague victory over Gardena. Salcedo, who drove in two runs, also threw two innings of shutout relief.

SOFTBALL

* Korin Cuico and Stephanie Tam, San Pedro: Cuico drove in a run and Tam homered in a 3-1 nonleague win over No. 11 Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula.

* Brianna Barth, West Hills Chaminade: Threw a two-hitter with three strikeouts and two walks over nine innings and scored in a 1-0 nonleague victory over No. 19 Valencia, which had Jordan Taylor throw a five-hitter with 17 strikeouts and two walks.
