Turbo falls

Vernal Falls is one of many gushing flumes putting on a show in Yosemite this year. Flooding closed the valley last month, but all roads are open now. However, if you’re hankering for the high country, you’ll have to wait until Independence Day, when work crews hope to clear Tioga Road of trees, rocks and snow from winter storms. Other park roads are open, but hikers can expect backcountry trails blocked by snow and debris. For current conditions, call (209) 372-0200 or visit www.nps.gov/yose/now/conditions.htm.
