Camper Is Killed After Threatening Rangers
From Times Wire Reports
A camper at Crater Lake National Park brandished a club and threatened to kill two park rangers, then was shot dead by one of them, a park spokesman said.
The rangers encountered the man as they answered a call about a domestic disturbance at a campground. When they tried to talk to the man, he reportedly became increasingly hostile. When he brandished the club, one ranger used pepper spray, but the man did not stop. The other ranger shot him twice, the spokesman said.
