A $1.6-million state grant will allow the Garden Grove Unified School District to more than double enrollment of low-income preschoolers, school officials announced Thursday.
The funding will enable at least 600 additional students to join the 400 already enrolled, district official said.
Students are eligible for the program if their families meet certain household size and income limits set by the state. To register a child, parents should call the district at (714) 663-6270 through Aug. 5.
