Two men were arrested and a third is being sought in connection with a shooting early Sunday that left three people wounded, police said.
Two teenage boys and a woman were injured in the car-to-car shooting about 3:15 a.m. near 17th Street and Linden Avenue, near Polytechnic High School, police said. The boys were taken to a hospital, where they were being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. A 17-year-old was in critical but stable condition and a 16-year-old was in serious but stable condition, said police spokesman David Cannan. The woman, 26, suffered a glancing wound, he said.
Witnesses gave a description of the assailants and their car, and about five minutes after the shooting, officers from the Signal Hill Police Department saw a car that matched the description. After a short pursuit, police arrested Jason Ra, 19, of Long Beach. A second suspect, Vannak So, 23, was arrested at a house in the 700 block of Gaviota Avenue. A third suspect was being sought, Cannan said.
