Another ex-politico is coming to Hollywood, this one as head of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s corporate communications, the studio said.
Jim Kennedy, a former spokesman for President Clinton who since 2002 has worked for Clinton’s Harlem, N.Y.-based foundation, will join the Culver City studio in September. He is replacing Susan Tick.
Kennedy worked in the White House from 1998 to 2001; he has also served as a spokesman for Vice President Al Gore, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.)and Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.). Others who have made the transition from Washington to the entertainment business include NBC Universal’s corporate communications chief Anna Perez, who worked for former First Lady Barbara Bush.
