Health Issue Keeps Fairfax Football Coach Off Sideline
Football Coach Shane Cox of L.A. Fairfax did not coach in his team’s season opener Friday and is not teaching or coaching because he has been reassigned to a local district office.
Cox said Tuesday he missed the game against North Hills Monroe because of a health issue.
“I’m on leave until my doctor says I’m better,” said Cox, who declined to disclose the illness.
Assistant Ed Vega will be the Lions’ interim coach.
