Foreign and Prime Ministers Switch Jobs

Halldor Asgrimsson took office as Iceland’s prime minister, swapping office keys and jobs with David Oddsson, who stepped down after 13 years. Oddsson succeeded Asgrimsson as foreign minister.
The transition will bring no change in government policies.
