Pacific Sunwear Names Successor to CEO

Pacific Sunwear of California Inc., which operates 969 stores that sell casual clothes for young people, said Seth Johnson would become chief operating officer Nov. 1 and chief executive April 1.
Johnson, the former chief operating officer of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., will succeed Greg Weaver, who will become executive chairman, the Anaheim-based retailer said.
Shares of Pacific Sunwear rose 80 cents to $23.32 on Nasdaq. The news of the executive changes was released after the markets closed.
