Errors Lead to Mailing of Sample Ballot Additions
- Share via
County officials announced Friday that they were mailing supplements to the sample ballots sent to more than 210,000 voters in the 64th Assembly District, because the original document excluded incumbent Assemblyman John Benoit’s candidate statement. The mailing will cost $85,000.
Additionally, the county is mailing 300 supplements to absentee voters in Beaumont because a $54-million school bond measure was left off of their absentee ballots.
Registrar of Voters Barbara Dunmore attributed both problems to human error.
