Council Votes to Fund More Police Patrols

Led by Councilwoman Janice Hahn, the City Council on Wednesday approved putting $1.5 million toward increasing police patrols in the city’s housing projects.
Under the plan, the city waived fees the Housing Authority owed it in exchange for an agreement that the money would be spent on police.
