Lindsborg fans cherish small town

I thoroughly enjoyed Beverly Beyette’s article on Lindsborg, Kan. [Sweden on the Plains,” May 2]. I visited Lindsborg about 10 years ago, and it was positively delightful. I recall red brick streets but not one street light -- stop signs only.

Your contribution showing Lindsborg in your series about small American towns was so appreciated. We hope to get our friends together and head for Lindsborg to enjoy its annual Midsommardag on June 19 and join in the festivities.
You don’t have to be a Swede to enjoy this fascinating little town.

I am a Lindsborg Swede. When I read Beyette’s piece about my Kansas hometown, tears came to my eyes while I was smiling -- remembering. I was born and raised there, and my 82-year-old brother and his extended family still live there, very happily. They are fully involved with Lindsborg. That’s what makes the little town big. All its citizens are busy with its activities.
The article was very well written. Those who love Lindsborg will be pleased with it.
