Student Charged With Threat Is Released

A student charged with threatening to shoot up his school was released from a juvenile facility on Thursday.
The Birmingham High School junior, who was arrested Tuesday, has been charged with making a criminal threat, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
The 16-year-old was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device.
The teenager, released into the custody of his mother, is due back in a Sylmar courtroom April 2.
