Disney to release C.S. Lewis fantasy

A day after “The Lord of the Rings” swept the Academy Awards, Walt Disney Studios announced Monday it will co-finance and distribute Walden Media’s movie adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” The live-action fantasy is scheduled for release at Christmas 2005.
