Heated reactions to ‘Fahrenheit’

With the combination of the film rating board putting an R rating on “Fahrenheit 9/11” to limit the number of viewers and the right-wing group Move America Forward trying to get theaters to not show the movie, we’re moving nicely down the path of fascism. We’ve got one-party rule in Washington, charges of being unpatriotic if you disagree with the government and memos justifying the use of torture. Yes, it is a new morning (mourning?) in America!

Does Michael Moore honestly believe we think he held on to the footage of Iraqi prisoner abuse for any reason other than that he wanted it to add shock value to his film (notice I use the word “film,” not “documentary”)? He says, “I wanted to come out with it sooner, but I thought I’d be accused of just putting this out for publicity for my movie.” Michael, what are you doing with it now?

Oh, and one other question: If the film is called “Fahrenheit 9/11,” why are you using Iraqi war footage in it? I thought Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and the war on terror.
