The Beatles used drugs? Who knew?
Randy Lewis must be a youngster, not having lived through the ‘60s and ‘70s. Please assign writers who have lived long enough or have the interest to research the time before writing their opinion about something they know nothing about. It seems Lewis has put the Beatles into a fantasy world where their music was created through a pure, clean, unadulterated Saturday-morning-cartoon lens [“Magic of Beatles Songs Indelible?,” June 15].
Paul McCartney’s comments about his songs are not new. Everyone who was a music fan of the time knows that drugs were ubiquitous.
