2 Ventura Girls Are Injured in Collision

Two Ventura girls on their way to school were critically injured Thursday morning when two cars collided at an intersection.
Twelve-year-old Tiffany Oncken and 11-year-old Grace Bowman were transferred Thursday afternoon to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after suffering serious head injuries in the 8:20 a.m. crash, authorities said.
The girls were in the back seat of a car driven by Tiffany’s father, Bradley Oncken. According to police, the crash occurred when Oncken made a left turn from westbound Telegraph Road onto Hill Road and collided with a vehicle driven by Susan Solis of Ventura.
Solis and Bradley Oncken suffered minor injuries, police said.
The girls attend Balboa Middle School, police said. The crash was under investigation.
