Police Suspect Oxnard Slaying Gang-Related

Oxnard police were searching Monday for information in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man at a mobile home park.
The shooting, which police suspect was gang-related, occurred at the Pleasant Valley Mobile Home Park on East Pleasant Valley Road.
Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Juan Carlos Martinez unconscious outside a mobile home about 12:15 a.m. Sunday. Minutes later he was pronounced dead by paramedics.
Martinez was a member of a local gang, said Oxnard Police Cmdr. Brian MacDonald. Police have no suspects, MacDonald said.
