Another frustrating suitcase snag
I nodded my head all the way through “An Open and Shut Suitcase? Hardly” [Travel Q&A;, June 27].
The same thing happened to me. I didn’t lock my suitcase, but when I went to claim it, the lock and zipper pull were gone, making the suitcase, which was one piece of a matching set, useless and worthless.
It couldn’t have locked accidentally because a key was needed to lock it. All the Transportation Security Administration personnel had to do was unzip the zipper.
Since this happened in December, all I have received from the agency is a couple of form letters. If you’re keeping stats, add me to the list.
