2002 Domaine Henri Perrot-Minot Chambolle Musigny vieilles vignes
- Share via
I opened a bottle of this Chambolle Musigny last week for dinner and fell in love at first sip. This is one of the simpler wines this domaine makes: It’s the vieilles vignes, or old vines, that make the difference, teasing out everything the soil has to give. The texture is incredibly silky, the fruit fine and sweet, with something of the earth behind it and a heady scent of dark cherries and blackberries. A very pretty wine, one that can turn a simple roast chicken into a feast.
