Man Wanted in 5 Holdups in Oxnard, Port Hueneme
Police detectives were searching Wednesday for a man suspected in five armed robberies this month at businesses in Oxnard and Port Hueneme.
A gunman robbed a bakery, Panaderia Vanessa, on Saviers Road in Oxnard about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
About 90 minutes later, in neighboring Port Hueneme, a robber matching the same description held up Raymond’s Liquors on Channel Islands Boulevard, authorities said.
The other robberies occurred Jan. 15 and 16 at two doughnut shops and a sushi restaurant in Oxnard.
The robber was described as black, 5 feet 5, thinly built and 25 to 30 years old. In Tuesday’s holdups, he wore a white baseball cap, black shirt and white pants.
Anyone with information should call Det. Martin Ennis at the Oxnard Police Department, 385-8349.
