UCI’ s Beck Takes Top Job at Lawrence

Jill Beck, UC Irvine professor of dance and former dean of the Claire Trevor School of the Arts, has been named president of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis., officials said Monday.

Beck, 54, will assume office July 1 as the first female president in Lawrence’s 158-year history, UCI said.
