On Shaky Ground
“Robust Mortgage Market is Recovery’s Foundation” (Commentary, Jan. 26) states that the housing and mortgage markets have been the cornerstone of the U.S. economy’s recovery. I find that interesting. A recovery built on debt and speculation may not turn out to be a good definition for a cornerstone.
