Liberian Envoy’s Son Arrested in Carjacking

The son of a Liberian diplomat, arrested on charges that included carjacking and robbery, was released from police custody under diplomatic immunity.
Police arrested Thomas K. Kollie, 18, and two others in connection with a carjacking in Silver Spring. Police said 13 males attacked three men in the car Friday night, took their vehicle and drove into two parked cars in a parking lot.
Kollie’s father, Aaron, is charge d’affaires at the embassy in Washington. The son was released into his father’s custody. Police said charges against him had not been dropped.
