Man Dies in Collision With Caltrans Truck

A 33-year-old Simi Valley man died Friday after his car struck a California Department of Transportation truck head-on on California 118 near Moorpark, authorities said Saturday.
Elio R. Hernandez was westbound near Hitch Boulevard about 2:15 p.m. Friday when he failed to maneuver a bend, crossed into the oncoming lane and slammed into the truck, authorities said.
The driver of the truck, Laura Ceilia Arzate, 34, of Mission Hills suffered minor injuries.
