Hoffman Gets USC on Right Track, 69-55
Ebony Hoffman scored 17 of her season-high 25 points in the second half as USC defeated Oregon, 69-55, Friday night in Pacific 10 Conference women’s basketball at Eugene, Ore.
Oregon (8-5, 0-3) went on a 15-2 run with 4:12 left to cut the USC lead to 64-52, but a layup and subsequent three-point shot by Rometra Craig pushed the Trojans (5-5, 2-0) to a 17-point edge.
Oregon State 82, UCLA 68 -- Shannon Howell scored 22 points and the Beavers (8-4, 2-1) made 67% of their shots in the second half to beat the Bruins (5-6, 0-2) at Corvallis, Ore.
Nikki Blue scored 25 points and Noelle Quinn added 16 for UCLA, which led by as many as nine points in the first half.
