From Times Staff Reports
A stretch of Dana Strands was closed to swimming, surfing, and diving Thursday after 300 gallons of sewage spilled into the ocean from a broken main, county health officials said.
An area 300 feet on each side of Selva Ramp was closed to the public, according to the Orange County Environmental Health Division. Officials said a South Coast Water District main was involved in the discharge.
The closure will remain in effect until testing shows that bacteria have returned to acceptable levels.
