From Times Staff Reports
A Dove Canyon woman has been sentenced to four years in state prison for embezzling $250,000 from the data management company of which she was chief financial officer and failing to report the money as income.
Azita Cummings, 42, was sentenced Friday in Orange County Superior Court after her conviction earlier this month for felony grand theft, tax evasion, forgery and preparing false records.
Cummings, who also used the last names of Shirvanimahdavi, Mahallaty and Mahzavi, is believed to have embezzled the money between 1995 and 1998.
