The head of the Nebraska lottery resigned a week after an investigation cleared him of wrongdoing for taking his wife on a trip to Greece that was paid for by a lottery vendor.
James Quinn and his wife, Kathy, traveled to Greece in September to inspect Intralot USA’s operations after the Duluth, Ga., company won a contract to operate the Nebraska lottery’s online games.
A State Patrol investigation released last week concluded that Quinn always intended to repay the $5,000 it cost to send his wife on the trip. He repaid the money a few weeks ago.
