Man Struck by SUV Dies; Suicide Suspected

An SUV struck and killed a Laguna Hills man who, according to witnesses, ran onto Moulton Parkway about 8:45 p.m. Sunday, officials said.
Emilliano Landero, 25, died at the scene, north of La Paz Road, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Phil Johnson.
“Witnesses said the victim ran into the road and knelt or lay down,” he said.
Authorities are investigating the incident as a suicide. The driver was not taken into custody, Johnson said.
