Calling In the CHPs
Re “4 Killed, Traffic Snarled in Big-Rig Wreck,” Feb. 7: Deadly crashes on Interstate 15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas will continue and increase so long as the California Highway Patrol fails to crack down on big rigs hurtling along at 65 and 75 miles per hour.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger could more than make up the money lost in repealing the car tax increase simply by putting more Highway Patrol units out there to write tickets.
