7 Pillsbury Lawyers to Join Rival

Seven real estate lawyers including prominent tenant representative Michael Meyer will leave the Los Angeles office of Pillsbury Winthrop for competitor Piper Rudnick.
Meyer’s recent transactions include negotiating large office leases for Nestle in Glendale, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. in Century City and City National Bank in downtown Los Angeles.
Joining Meyer in the move this month to Piper Rudnick’s Century City office are fellow partners John Whitaker, Marshall Taylor, John Duffy and Jackie Park. Associates Samantha Goodman and Brian Sanger will come with them.
Meyer said he was switching because Piper Rudnick had “a significantly larger real estate department and real estate is one of their core practices.”
The addition of Meyer’s team will double the size of Piper Rudnick’s Los Angeles real estate practice and bring a roster of national clients, said Jeffrey Rosenfeld, managing partner.
