Governor Plans Address Days After Surgery

Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell said she was tired but feeling well as she left a hospital in Danbury three days after breast cancer surgery. Hospital test results showed no remaining cancer.
“I feel great,” said Rell, 58, who underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
Rell plans to give her State of the State address when the new legislative session begins Wednesday. “It’s going to be a little shorter speech. Trust me,” she said.
