TV Topples, Kills 16-Month-Old Boy

A 16-month-old was crushed Wednesday when a TV fell on him, officials said.
Jason Ta died at UCI Medical Center in Orange shortly after his mother called police to their home in the 3300 block of Goodman Drive in Santa Ana about 9:30 a.m., said Fire Capt. Dave Thomas. Jason had reached for a video on top of the 32-inch TV, which toppled from a nightstand, Thomas said.
Paramedics found his mother waiting in front of the home with Jason, who was in cardiac arrest, Thomas said.
